It looks like the tent can go on the roof rack also. Is that the case?
I also built my XJ expedition style, yet able to handle much more than stock.

The tent probably could go on the roof rack but I've never tried. I used to have it on the roof before I bought the trailer but I used Thule load bars when I did that.
