Greetings all,
Just building my first Cherokee and wanted to stop by. Looong time off road dirt biker and desert racer. Time for a Jeep. Picked up a 93 Cherokee Country. It came with a Rough Country 4 in lift and BFG MT's. I've added a Smittybilt bumper and winch. Cat back 2 1/2 Dyno, aFe cold air intake on the way. Got a real spare tire and hi jack. Quick release bar up front. A Ford 8in rear end with disk brakes. I'm not sure if anything internal was done to gearing.
I've lived in Aplle Valley Ca for over 25 years so I've been on all the trails only on a dirt bike. Can't be much difference, right? Hehe. Gonna go out this week end, maybe some light stuff, John Bull Trail, or 2N17X. Well maybe just back roads to my cabin in Big Bear.
Any advice on lockers to buy, price, front, rear, both?
I'm already hooked. Let the blood letting begin.

Welcome to the Forum!! We pretty much rock.. My advice would be to take it out, as is, a few times before you go dropping thousands on lockers, axles, etc.. Unless you have it to blow then of course, there are many people on here who could help you out in the locker dept better than I (I love ARB) Since your new to the Jeepin XJ world I think it is extremely important to know what your rig is capable of before you go droppin bills.. After you get used to the idea of trails/rock in jeep and how to properly run your jeep in those conditions, THEN go grab those lockers and axles.. Just my humble opinion

Welcome to Cherokee Forum! Not sure about avatar... Lol. What kinds of trails you going to be doing? You should build your rig based on that.
