Gas and commuting got to me, so I sold the Jeep

But I got a nice little Samurai. It wheels great, and as soon as I get a little more money, I'm going to take off the shackels and put on a real lift

Not a bad start there. You do need to dump those shackles as they inhibit ground clearance.

Small and cute, hahaha. Yup, but it wheels great. Stock Samurais wheel awesome and this one is about 3 inches over stock, with 30x9.5 BFG ATs. It wheels pretty darn good for having the shackle lift, and a 1.3L engine! I plan on getting the Calmini 3.5 inch lift (shackle reversal, bigger springs, and all the bits n pieces), because the shackles now are SILLY!

I plan on gearing it down in the t-case, throw on a roof rack, and put some armor on it.

It only has 58,000 miles on it (25,000 towed behind an RV!), the odometer hasn't rolled and it gets around 30MPG, but give or take about 3 depending on how I drive it.

and Kyle, as for summer, all is well. Eh, could be a bit better, but all will end up OK. Works going great and the family is well, so I can't complain. You?

you can find darn good Samurais for ~$3,000, good being 4x4, under 100k miles, and minor comfort upgrades.

even at 3 grand, they will pay for themsleves in less than 2 years depending on how much you drive
