Red face Own a Tj, getting my wife a WJ.... have some questions for the pros

Hi all, looking to get a WJ for my wife. The plan is to mildly build it out so she will be able to wheel with me on easy to moderate trails. I'm thinking 4" lift, however i have no idea what size tires a lift that size will accommodate? Having a TJ, I'm familiar with the 4.0l, however I'm toying with the 4.7 v8. Yes or no? Is there a particular year that is better for lifting than another? I really do appreciate any feedback. It's weird knowing almost everything about a certain version of a jeep, and then knowing nothing about its counterpart.

Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum. Stay away from 1999-2001 WJs. Stick with 2002-2004.

4.7L aren't that good but if you meticulously maintain it, they can be half decent.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. Could I fit 31's on a 3" lift?
