And a Canadian newbie, at that!
Howdy, all, I'm Kirsten, otherwise known as Silver Eagle, Screaming Eagle, WTF Is That Thing?, Does Your Mother Know You Lifted Her Station Wagon..... lmao It may not have started out its life as a Cherokee, but it's got enough XJ parts in it to at least take honorable mention. :P I've got a 1983 AMC Eagle station wagon with an Evolution 4x4 6" lift & solid axle conversion using '95 XJ axles, an NP208 t-case, Warn Tabor 9ooolb winch, & currently running on 31"s. Been having the usual (& a few unusual :P) AMC issues with it, but I'm slowly working my way through them. Recently got rid of that stupid Carter carb for a Holley 2bbl, & it idles better cold with no choke then it ever did fully warmed up. :P Found this forum partially through trying to find answers to my mechanical problems, & partially through a gal up in Fort Mac that recently signed up on the BC Jeep club forum. Looks like I've got a lot of reading up to do, there's all kinds of neat tid-bits & goodies on here!
I'm looking forward to picking your collective brain, & possibly making you curse the day you heard of an AMC Eagle
muahaha!

muahaha!Ooops, my bad! Remembered to put some on my profile, does that count? haha The two pics in the EVO4x4 shop are a before & after - that Chevy didn't change at all, save for opening the hood at one point. :P

wow. thats actually awesome. i wasnt sure if you were joking at first, but thats clearly not the case! well done indeed!
Thanks for the welcomes!
I even found the one vid clip I of it, only my second time ever on the trails with it. If I'd aired down a little more, I wouldn't have had quite the same issue, but whatever (the tires are also old, hard m/ts).
This was my last run before the stock trans (TF998) finally burnt itself out (what turned out to be a pinched coolant line); still haven't had my Pepper out since then.
