Default Newby to Jeeping

I'm in Little Rock, AR and i came across a jeep that i couldn't pass up. I have been to the ORV park in Hot Springs once before. I'm ready to go ride. I'm not much for mud.





Dana 44 front
Ford 9" rear
4.88 gears
Detroit locked front and rear
6.5 Rustys long arm

I hope you are mechanically inclined tho. There alot of "not so stock" left in that XJ. I like it tho. Any idea what the 44 is out of. Are the axles shortened?

Very Mechinical, the axles are 77 ford equipment. Full length

It's 83" wide!! Had to carry it on a 77" trailer

Thats awesome. Any internal cage? Is it legal in AR? I just moved to NC from Knoxville, TN.....any in TN, everything is legal. So I'm sucking it up in NC

Street legal yes!!! Just gotta find a trailer to haul it.

You best get busy making a build page. That XJ is pretty extreme, and your probably gonna get alot of questions.

Just get some rollers for it. With skinnier tires it would probably fit "ok" then when you get to wherever your going swap out the tires.
