Hi guys, my name is Rod. I just bought a nice 01' with 97k miles on it. Got it for a really good price, so I got it straight away. I'm planning on keeping it stock for now(although it has 235 tires) Mainly for use as a DD, but will use it to travel a lot, weekend adventures and stuff. I live in Peru, so there is a lot to explore, I could drive from the beach trough the mountains into the jungle in just 6 hours. Mostly traveling in asphalted and gravel roads. Maybe the ocasional trail now and then. If any of you have experience with traveling long distances in your XJ, any tips would be more than welcome. Looking forward to share some pics of my adventures.
Rod.

Fan Clutch
Welcome!
Not familiar with the weather in Peru but if it's hot year around you may want to consider replacing the fan clutch to a "heavy duty" one. Worked wonders for mine in the summer.
Good luck...
