Default Newb in Colorado

New guy here, Grew up in Colorado so I have been playing in the rockies for many year. Mostly on bikes and with friends who own jeeps (mostly wranglers).

Few weeks ago I got the itch to cut the bottoms of my pockets open on a toy that I could take on trails here and camp with.

After long hours of research I have decided to grab an stock XJ and build it up. Have spent quite a bit of time looking at the info on this site so I figured I would sign up and say hi!

Have 6000 to spend and a free weekend, so we will see what I come up with. Hope to fine an XJ around 2-3k and obviously spend the rest on stickers and spinner tires... maybe some magenta underglow.
For real though, a lift and tires first.

Bought a decently priced 2000 XJ with a few issues I can take care of fairly quick.

Anyone have recommendations on reasonably priced front and back off road bumpers?

Maybe any recommendations on tire\wheel sets that won't break the bank too much.

Tough question to answer since we all have a slightly different idea of what a reasonable price is.

That's very true. I'm trying to stretch $3k into 4.5inch lift, tires and wheels, and hopefully front and back bumpers. Will wait on winch for a few weeks.

Well I can get ya into a complete long arm kit, assuming you've got an NP231J transfer case....but it'll eat up most of your $3k budget.
