I am picking up a '96 Cherokee 4x4 in a few days so I just wanted to introduce myself. I think it's a Classic or Sport, not really sure. This is my first Jeep and I am pretty excited about it :-) I got almost the exact one I was looking for. I wanted black but settled for white but it is a 5spd with power windows and locks!!! The interior is immaculate with only 2 previous owners and a 3 page Carfax with all dealership documented service since 35,000 miles. It has the typical valve cover gasket leak that is being fixed and a rust spot underneath the drivers foot area that is being cutout and rewelded. It already has new tires, brakes and clutch. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor are on the agenda too. Oh, and the exhaust manifold has already been replaced. I think that's pretty much it. Any other issues I should keep an eye out for? The previous owner was very meticulous about its condition. Here are some pics!!
yeah it's stupid clean. only had 2 owners before me and they really took care of it. funny thing is, it actually has an "R" title from a hit in the front end. it broke the passenger side headlamp assembly, grille and bent the rad support a little. they replaced everything and you'd never know the difference. the interior looks almost brand new. i got lucky with this one!
