New xj owner
New member here. My name is Jake, im 17 years old and last night i got my first rig, a 1993 xj w/185,000 miles. So far I love it, took it for a spin after looking at it several times and now i cant wait to start doing my modifications. I have spent several hours just browsing this forum today so I decided I might as well join and contribute as I learn more about my Jeep. What I know of it so far is it is almost completely stock, no lift, 235/75R15 tires, tow package, 4x4. I am new to on road vehicles, I know compact tractors and construction equipment inside and out and have a couple John Deere's myself which helped me pick out a user name. Anyways, glad to be part of such a great forum, the wealth of knowledge I discovered today is incredible!

Haha, I haven't ever really been into sports. Green and yellow seemed to fit, I love John Deere and my Jeep is Dark Green. It seems that my stuff has a color theme.

For now though, I am running on a short budget so I expect a month or two until the Jeep see's any new tires or mods of any kind.

Thanks! So far, my plans are a new set of tires. I have been looking at a set of Good Year DuraTracs, they seem to be perfect for what kind of terrain my Jeep will be seeing (gravel roads, mud, snow, and highway use). I also would like to get a 3" lift, fab up custom front and rear bumpers, get a winch, add some more lights, and maybe replace the headliner with real tree headliner. I have even thought about getting some 16.5" rims and taking the set of tires off my skid loader for the Jeep when they are worn to the point that my 7000 lb loader doesnt get the traction i expect out of it in the mud. Maybe one of these days I can get a set of steel tracks for my skid loader, that will put an end to my traction loss problems.
For now though, I am running on a short budget so I expect a month or two until the Jeep see's any new tires or mods of any kind.

Thanks guys! I am slowly becoming obsessed with my xj, after reading up on a lot of mods everyone has done on here it seems like I think about the xj non-stop. I think my addiction to xj's is slowly coming to life!
