well I've got a 96 and all I really want is just the black, flat grill/headlight surround with the updated side markers.

So you want to remove the little grill? It's like 8 screws I think. Ha some of the sports have bigger ones with wider gaps,

You can just replace the header panel but it'll look odd without the 97+fenders and bumper

that's what I was asking. so if I want the updated front end I'd need to replace the bumper/fenders as well I couldn't just swap out the header?

On a 89 with 89 fenders.... I'm going to get fenders when I can find em cheap. Can't justify paying $150+ each then cutting em up

that actually doesn't look bad at all to me. thanks for the picture, I'm a very visual person haha. the whole header panel on mine just makes it look really dated to me.
or maybe it's just all the chrome on it I can't stand. I might yank it off and paint it first and see how I like that.
