I've wanted a Jeep Cherokee even since I saw Goonies when I was a kid. I had a wife for 10 years that wouldn't let me buy "a gas hog". So I dumped her last year and bought a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4WD two weeks ago.
It was originally built as a fleet vehicle for a Veterans mail delivery service and came with 199,300 miles but the engine is in great shape. It didn't have a glove box and a few interior parts, but I have a Pick'n'Pull nearby so those were easy to replace.
Next are the tires and a new paint job. I guess I need to figure out what this Jeep is going to be to me and start buying parts.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope to get new tires this week so I can use the 4WD over the bow, rifle and alternative deer hunting seasons.
It was a right side driver, but the steering wheel and pedals were removed. The pulley wheel ring is still attached to the original steering wheel.
I found out last night that the mailman must have been a big guy that leaned left a lot, because a big guy sat in the passenger and pointed out that it leans left. So back to pick and pull for a seat. This is my first vehicle that I'm enjoying working on.
