New from New Jersey
Hello all,
Wanted to take a quick sec to introduce myself. Call me PigPen, everyone does, yes there is a story, yes alcohol was related. I just got my first XJ this weekend. Been after one of these little boxes for a while. Love these trucks. It is bone stock, just the way I wanted. I am hoping to turn this into a fun, conservative father/son build. Looking to lift it 3 inches, some bigger wheels, some flares. At some point give the interior a little love and elbow grease. I have about 2 years or so until he is driving, and I am hoping to turn the keys over to him then. We will see how far I can make the budget stretch, and how long my wife will believe how I much I tell her I pay for parts and how much I actually pay.
I am into anything with wheels. I just got rid of a 1978 Monte Carlo with a 355 and some other engine goodies. I have a 1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville in the garage in several stages of being worked on. There are some motorcycles here and there, a few projects started and never finished. I tend to float from project to project. I think I actually enjoy trading and haggling for parts more then I actually work on them.
Hope to get to know some of y"all and run into you at the trails at some point.
