Default New XJ owner from New Jersey

Hey guys! I have been lurking here since before my first Jeep purchase. Just picked up my 2000 XJ in July and love it to death. My buddy (also a lurker here) just picked up his 1998 XJ a week ago. Searching through the threads here have been invaluable to my continued work on my XJ and I hope to be putting up my build thread after I finish all the first time maintence on my friend's and my Jeep.

Sadly I live in an apartment so wrenching has been done mostly in the street or at my buddies house. Wish I could rent some workspace, but NJ sucks for that!

Some pics of our jeeps (mine is green)

Welcome to the site. Glad two others have found how cool the XJ is.

Not bad for $1200 (mine) and $2800 (his). Working though the usual rust, worn u-joints, mixed tires, etc. We're looking at lift options now. I will probably be running a S10 bastard pack with 3" RC springs up front. Running down to a u-pick-it to grab some goodies like neon injectors, GC seats and the like.
