Hi. Just got my first Jeep Cherokee. Just bought a 99 Cherokee Sport last week.
I am from Welland Ontario. (near Niagara falls ontario canada). If you've ever seen that video on tv with the boat hitting the lift bridge... that is about 10 minutes from my house. (bridge 11 on the welland canal)
I got a 97 TJ Sahara as a winter Jeep, but I got rid of it and bought a 99 Cherokee Sport 4 door. Got it for a good deal
it was up for $1500 but I got it for $700.
Runs good, drives good, but the steering feels weird.. Doesn't return to center after turning. May be a still ball joint, or ? I wonder if the steering stabilizer can stiffen up and cause this. It has been sitting for quite a while from what I understand.

Thanks I think I may try the injector swap on the XJ I did it on my 03 TJ already. I have no clue if it actually increased gas milage, BUT it has helped with starting. It fires up quicker and easier. Also... not sure if anyone here has ever encountered this on a XJ, but on the TJ if I did not hold the starter till it fired it would flood and be would not want to start for a few minutes till the plugs dried off. I have a friend with another 03 rubicon and his was the same way. We never did the inj swap on his but on mine gone is the flooded no start issue with these injectors.
btw I did not use the 703 or whatever dodge 4 hole injectors. I used a set of blue injectors from a ford focus. They have extremely similar properties to the oem 1 holers. On another friend's 99 XJ we used Ford 4.6L explorer injectors and his runs great. also very similar flow rate and proper impedance.
Will it increase fuel milage on my XJ, who knows. All my vehicles suck in the MPG department haha.
