Hey Everyone,

I just picked up a 2001 Sport with 145k on the clock on Sunday. No rust and did all of the standard checks. I know that the 00-01 have head problems so I've been checking for any sign of coolant loss or mixing with the oil. No signs yet. No temp or oil pressure fluctuations. I'll be daily driving it for much of the year and it will be a dedicated fishing kayak carrier during the fun months.

Pretty sure the dealer schemed me by charging the freon right before I arrived for my 2 hour test drive. Blew ice cold during the test. Cool the next day. Room temperature yesterday. My compressor seems to be working fine, as it cooled the first day and the clutch was engaging. I'm thinking I have the notorious evaporator leak. I am getting that confirmed by my mechanic next week.

Need to change out the cassette player and fix one of the ac blower speed settings.

I'm going to search previous posts regarding the disassembly of the dash for the evaporator fix, but it would be awesome if anyone that has done that fix before could point me to the best write-up!
