Hello everyone,
I am new to Jeep land! I just picked up this 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport a few days ago. Specs:
159,000 miles
all stock w/ new Goodyear Wrangler tires
NP242 transfer case
Not sure what much else to say about it -- it does need some work however. First plans are to change out all the freeze plugs as they are corroded and making my coolant very ugly. After that, full tune-up and cold air intake swap.

I'm really looking forward to this project! So far, my tentative plans are as follows:
Get rust fixed
Remove carpet and Rhino-line interior floor
Winch bumper and rear tire carrier bumper (not sure which ones I want yet, open to recommendations w/ pics)
Lift kit--I'm thinking 4.5" minimum with longarms. I want to pack in some 33's eventually. I have not decided on cutting the fenders--although I REALLY like the look of the Bushwacker Flats.
Roof Rack w/ offroad lights
No build thread yet, gotta get all the little stuff done and then I'll make that :-)
Also, I traded in my 1999 Ford Ranger for this. Its specs:
3" Body lift
33x12.50 Procomp MT's on Mickey Thompson Classics
3.0 V6 Vulcan engine
4.10 gears, Dana 35 up front
I'm gonna miss this truck a lot!

Look forward to hanging out on the forums. I love the amount of support that's available for the XJ's.

Well since I have a nissan patrol on 38´s I´m just going to keep the jeep stock. It was bought for my wife after she crashed her station wagon out side the road in september. This was a great opportunity since I have a weakness for jeep. I told my wife that this would be the best family car we could by
But I have a few plans anyway. mp3 player was installed yesterday. I would like to tint the windows and find golden limited rims for the summer tires. And there is ofcourse some rust that I need to deal with. If you take a look on my Introduction, you see a picture of an lifted xj that I had few years ago.
