Hey guys, im new on here but not really new to the site, ive spent a lot of time browsing builds and creeping around on here just never really got around to signing up because i dont have a jeep. im in the process of looking for one but pickings are kinda slim for unmolested jeeps in my area. ideally id like to find a 97-01 cherokee 4 dr. in black or white with out a **** ton of miles.. im also planning on buying a welder in the near future so who knows what all ill make when the time comes. right now im just trying to learn what i can about the jeep world and go from there, im not new to off roading, i had a toyota tacoma in highschool that spent more time in the woods and camping than it it did on the road lol.

anyways though heres a little about me. im a welder at Morganton Pressure Vessel, we make air pressure tanks and thats about it lol. its a pretty good job and i really enjoy it, welding is something i really like, and i dont wanna brag but im very good at it and love making little things out of the scrap metal we have laying around. im 22 and engaged and actually have a little one on the way. in about 2 months actually. thats one big reason i had been looking into jeeps. i need room, 4 drs. 4wd and something a little more driver friendly than my beater car.

Thats good...i guess. I'm still lost here. Only been here 6 days, just moved from Knoxville, TN for school. And lifted a KJ with someone I randomly met on here. Check out the build. 05 KJ 2.5" Rustys. It was all good.....till he went to the ER with Spring Compressors on his thumb.

 

haha damn lol. hate to hear that. as far as where you are its not a bad area for some wheelin. up here where i live i think theres more trails than roads lol

 

Then count me in. The 35's havent seen anything other than road for awhile. Ive been here before and to Uwharrie, but the towns confusing compared to my lil east TN town. USMCJeeper, MudRebel, just some of the other locals on here. Theres a 4x4 Meet-n-Greet this Sat (25) @ Ham in High Point.

damn theres a lot more locals than i thought. a big meet would be pretty cool. im in the process of finding a jeep at the moment so i dont know the extent of wheeling i can do. esp if the one i get is stock

 

Thats why the forum is so great. People get rid of thier old when they get new and Craigslist is great if you know how to hustle it right. I have $900 in the old gal. Thats all 5.5" lift and all 5 35x15 TSL's. Just gotta now when to move and how to deal. And you being a welder.... yeah, trade service(welding, had to specify, no hooking) for parts and time on a mechanics lift.

hustling craigslist lol. ive never thought of that or welding for services. you got it all figured out man, but first things first i gotta check up on this loan and then "hustle" me a jeep off there. my luck though, ill buy one then a week later ill find 5 in better shape for a third of the price
