Default New guy from up north...

Hey everyone!

New here from Minneapolis and picked up my first XJ two days ago.

I'm no stranger to wheeling or heavily modified vehicles. I grew up in Northern California and even worked down the street from Rubicon Express for 8 years or so. Played around on Rubicon Trail and Fordyce during that time with a K5 Jimmy.

Most of my experience is in suspension mostly from being a mini trucker for a very long time.

I'm glad to be a member here and I'm sure I will have plenty of questions so in advance...Thank you for your vast knowledge of Jeeps.

Here are some photos from when I picked her up.

Welcome, also from MN! That XJ doesn't have enough rust for a MN jeep.

The photos are deceiving... The roof, hood and front bumper are pretty rough. There are a few cancer spots but overall pretty solid. The rockers are good and as far as I can tell, the floor is in good shape.

I can wait to tear into the suspension!

Here are a couple of my Toyota... long story but regrettably, I never got to finish it.

And here are a couple shots of my old Datsun... Anyone from Sacramento may have seen this one around. It has changed hands a lot.

Both sweet trucks. I always wanted to build me that body style Toyota.

I gave up the mini truck thing many years ago. Maybe some day I will build one again. For now though I want to go up! Haha.

I gave up the minitruck scene when I had my first kid. Couldn't fit three of us in a 2 seater.

Same here. At the time, I had a hard time finding the time and money to finish it all then I moved across the country and had an even harder time being able to set aside a grand to have it transported. When kids are involved that $1000 goes a long way elsewhere.
