Default New guy from the North Bay.

Hello all. My uncle gave me an XJ a few years ago. At first, i was a little bit apprehensive about the thing, but it grew on me. About the time I really fell in love with it, I got orders to move across the pond to Japan. Luckily, my dad said he would hold on to it for me. Lucky me right? Long story short, I'll be home for good in a few months and I can't wait to tear it apart and really make it mine. I'm sure I'll be on here daily trying to get help on this and that. Here it is. Pics or it didn't happen right?

Thanks guys. The only thing about the lift is I don't know how much lift it is. It clears the 31's real well. It only rubs at full flex. I'm thinking it's at least a 3 inch. The LCA's are tube, and the uppers are stamped. The sway bar has disconnects, but I don't have the links. The shocks are Rancho. I bent the crap out of the tie rod, and it ate those tires up. After that, I replaced all the ball joints, wheel bearings, and steering and associated links in the front. I eyeballed the alignment with a tape measure. Before I could get it done right, I had to leave the country.

Hi James... What does "the LCA's are tube, and the uppers are stamped" mean? Duh... Maybe lower control arm, old hippie! And "tube" v "stamped" is easy.

Thanks everybody. I just ordered a 6.5 long arm and SYE and CV drive shaft from Rough Country. Next is the 4.56 gears and some sort of locker for the rear. I plan on running BFG KM2 35x12.50's on it. For shocks, I've been eyeing the Bilstein 5150's. Is anybody using these? Which ones? Also, it will be the semi daily driver. I have a few motorcycles, so it's ok if Cherry is down for a little bit. I'll start a build thread when I come home in a few months.
