Default New guy from Iceland :)

Hello everybody

My name is Atli and I'm from Iceland.
Wanted to show off my newly purchased Jeep Cherokee XJ.

Got it for a good price.
It's been lifted, not sure how much and how. Haven't got the change to put it up on a lift.

Currently it's on 38" AT405 tyres, designed by the Icelandic company Arctic Trucks, wich currently builds 44" 6x6 Toyota Hilux and other Toyota 4x4.

When I bought it, the bearing in the steering pump was really badly worn and after 2 days of driving the pulley and the shaft came of the pump.
Got a rebuilt one and now it drives like new, well almost

Enough rambling, here are some pictures.

Here it's next to my friends 44" modified Toyota Landcruiser.

Not so bad on the inside.

Next modification will be a ZJ/WJ brake booster change and put some more lights on it (It gets DARK here during winter)

Cheers and sorry for my grammar mistakes

That is awesome, are you still running the stock axles? Looks really clean inside & out.

Welcome.

Thanks

Stock axles, although I'm not 100% sure.

Has been painted at some time, not very well but good enough for a Jeep

Gonna do complete oil change and service tonight or next week.
Motor, transmission, transfer case etc.
And new sparkplugs.

It has a K&N cone filter but I'm trying to find the original airfilter housing. Don't wan't to have the Jeep suck water through there on the glacial tours this winter.

If you guys are interested here are some pictures of modified Jeeps in Iceland

Halló Atli and welcome to the Forum!

You boys have some nice Jeeps doing some serious wheeling. Mikiđ gaman!

I've got some Icelandic blood in me from my mother's side so I love seeing the Motherland.

Halló Nick.
Hvernig ertu?

Have you been here to Iceland?

Do you know how much viking blood you got in you?

Yeah this is the Icelandic way of wheeling, we don't do so much rock crawling here
Although we do have a sport called the Offroad Formula
Got some modified machines there, most of them built on ***** chassis

Atli, I have never been to Iceland, but it is on my "bucket list". I have 1/4 Viking blood. My mother's mother was full blood.

Love that video of the Offroad Formula. I've always wondered why the Icelandic Vikings were so insane. It is not allowed to invade other countries and rape and pillage so you need to do something else interesting.
