New guy doing research
I managed to wreck my car last week in an ice storm.
Looking into buying a used Jeep Cherokee and I'm here doing research.
I have no previous experience with Jeeps other than admiring them for years.

Welcome to CF! XJ's are great vehicles. Big things to look for when buying one
1. Rust. XJ's are uni-body vehicles so rust is a killer.
2. Maintenance. If it's kept up, an XJ will go forever.
3. 4.0. This is by far the best engine you can get in an XJ. There are quite a few reports of some going over 400k with regular maintenance done.
4. 95-99 tend to be the best years to look for. These XJ's (if properly cared for) tend to have the fewest issues.
