most ive looked at have rust under the doors, rocker panels, and floors

You need to read my thread if you are just trying to avoid rust. You can usually buy those jeeps for even cheaper once you let the owner know what you have found and how cancerous and hard it is too fix.

I had rusty floor boards and rockers. Didn't cost much to fix just some time and effort.

wow, you did an amazing job there.... i dont have the tools or the patience to do all that work. i would need a garage, tools and a good freind willing to help.
