New fro Vermont !
Hello everyone, my name's sebastien and I'm from France. I just moved here, in Vermont, 2 weeks ago and I bought a '02 grand cherokee laredo 2 days ago. It has 102000 miles on it, has the leather interior, the sunroof, etc and I have to say I love this car. It has the l6 4.0 engine.
But since I bought it, I have a little trouble : everything worked great but now when I shift on 2wd position, the part time light lights up on the dashboard and when I shift to 4wd part time, it goes off. Is that normal ? it didn't do that when I bought the car.
Someone can explain to me how the gearbox works for that ?
I don't have the owner's manual so I can't figure it out.
Thanks to all !

Welcome from Texas. I don't know much about your problem. But try posting it in grand cherokee tech section, you might have more response over there.

This covers/explains the different 4WD systems offered on your Grand Cherokee (WJ). >->http://www.wjjeeps.com/tcases.htm
Thanks to all of you, I appreciate it.
For the little problem on my jeep, I have to go to the jeep's dealer today, obviously it is a switch issue. The car is under warranty so it's OK.
Again, thanks to all of you and I just love this kind of forum
