Trying to get tech help with my 92 Cherokee. I have experience with cj's and other 4x4's. I am finding that XJ's are a different animal and i would like to find some good tech manuals. Example my power seats quit working for no reason and am unable to find a fuse or relay to change.
I bought this fixer to hunt with and have my young grandchildren help me with.
I am looking forward to learning from this jeep community. I am a newbie at on line groups so please be paitent with me. You can teach old dog's new trick's
Thanks

Welcome from Wisconsin. Here's a site that has OEM Mopar-jeep parts catalogs, in PDF format. http://www.xjjeeps.com/tech_referenc...section=2&ID=0 Find your year, down load a copy. They especially handy because they exploded views, of areas. Good luck to you.

For your power seat aduster, I have had some carbon buildup on the swithc contacts, disconect the battery, spray some carb cleaner into the switchs, blow out with air or let evaporate, worked for me on the passenger side problem.
(The excess noise and constant driving instruction from the passenger side was a little harder problem to resolve but not limited just to jeep vehicles.)
Good luck on those trips with the grandchildren.

Well I'm back. I had to sell my 1992 due to divorce. I just bought a 1990 2door 5 speed electric windows for a toy/fixer. Runs good but electric fan isn't working and I would like to replace the electric widow equipped doors with manual since the drivers side won't roll up.
I am also watch CL to buy a 4 Door model for my young wife for a family car. We married almost 3 years ago she is from the Philippines and never driven before. Thought the 4 door Cherokee would be a good 1st car. She is a lot younger than I
Just thought I would reinterduce my self
Any ideas on the 2 door conversion? I found out the other day that the 2 door doors are 9" longer and I was bummed since my brother had set set from a 4 door he was going to give me
Also is it a hard conversion to put in a 4.0 ho out of a 91 or newer?
Are there any 91 or newer 4.0 ho I should stay a way from?
Thanks again
Bob
