Hey Cherokee Forum,
New to the 4x4 world and i have to say im loving every minute of it.
A little about me. Im 22, a soldier in the CA Army National Guard, have my own business, avid gun owner, huge car nut, and spend way too much on cara forums!
Car history. I come from a long line of performance cars. I started out with a 2000 Honda Civic SI, had it all riced out and thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Came to my senses and purchased a 2003 Subaru WRX. Modded the crap out of it and raced it. Had to go to college and needed a reliable car so i bought a year old 2005 Subaru STI. Left it stock but upgraded the suspension and made it stage II. Got a new job and decided i wanted to splurge so i sold the STI and purchased a 2007 Lotus Exige S. Had that for a while and realized it was not conducive to my lifestyle. Sold it and started pondering what i wanted. Was going to purchase a brand new 2011 STI but didnt want another car loan. My older brother had a Cherokee and instantly i knew what i wanted. It can hold my snowboards, my bike, go camping with me, go through snow, it can do everything i need it to do.
I purchased a 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ in red. It had the 242 which at the time i thought was cool cause it has full time 4 but now i hate because i cant find a full slip yoke kit for it. It had cruise and ABS which i like for snow but i want a damn snorkel! it had a full 3.5" RE lift (full leaf), 31 BFG ATs, factory skids, and thats it. I have grand plans for it and have already added a Kargo Master Roof rack, fabbed my own spare tire carrier, hilift with mount, swapped out my crap stock fogs for PIAA 2100 Series, added a light bar to the front bumper, installed PIAA 520 ATPs, upgraded the stereo system, and more. I plan on finally starting a build thread before i get too much farther.
Anyway thats me, look forward to getting to know everyone and learning this community.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Very excited to be part of this community. 4 wheel is so much different then racing and i love the technical aspect of it. Already going crazy on my Jeep.
I have a Rough Country Long Arm Kit coming in late this week hopefully that im adding to my current 4.5" Rubicon Express lift. I was able to score a brand new ARB Locker for my rear Dana 35 for $500! I am going to pick that up on Thursday of this week. Just need to find a compressor system and decide if i want 4.56s or 4.88s. Ill be running 33x12.5x15 Mickey Thompsons if anyone has any suggestions.
