New Cherokee owner from Arizona
I have wanted one of these for years. Decades actually. I rented one in about 1991 and have taken my sweet time about finally getting one.
I have plenty of "nice" vehicles but love the sterile, almost anti-social look of a plain white fleet equipped box. It is as un-fancy as possible. I guess I have a thing for square vehicles, I used to have a Scion xB and still have a 76 Ford Bronco and a VW Thing.
I just bought this at an auction and haven't even paid for or picked it up yet.
It's a 1997 with 115k miles. It's absolutely straight with perfect cloth and carpet interior. Has Cold A/C and Automatic. No power equipment, though.
No antenna holes, peeling paint or rode-hard and put-up-wet usage. Check engine and ABS lights are on.
Other than working out the bugs I plan on leaving it alone. Maybe a 1.5-2 inch lift and bigger (30x9.50??) tires on the stock wheels.
Feel free to let me know what you think of it and maybe guess what I paid. I promise to follow up and tell you.

Looks pretty good. Let's see...at auction, '97 fleet truck, 115K miles, no options, clean body & int. no rust, check engine & ABS lights on, my guess is: $1,800 because of the CEL & ABS issues, and no options. Otherwise, I'd say $3,000. Clean XJ's can bring good prices.
