Hey guys, picked up my 2nd XJ. Between my fiance and I we've owned 4 (2 each)..She loves these as much as I do.
We just picked up a 1992 XJ for a summer project, going to do a quick budget build. I picked up the XJ for dirt cheap, it needs a tranny so thats why. It came with a 6.5" Rough Country short arm lift, with sye and trsfr case drop, conferr roof rack, cb etc. I figured for what I paid I could sell the suspension alone for more than I paid so it was good investment IMO.
I'm converting from 5spd to Auto so my fiance can drive it offroad too.
I know I need the tranny (91-96 AW4), tranny wiring harness and tranny computer and of course the linkage etc. Anything I'm missing from people that have done this swap?
I'll post a couple pics soon, doesn't look great yet but it won't take much.

Welcome to the boards...NOOOOOOO!!!!! Don't swap the tranny out! Please no!
I am teaching my fiance to drive stick in my beater Metro (cuase the clutch costs a quarter of the one in my jeep) so she can eventually pilot my XJ.
The 5spd tranny in my pioneer has been the most fun to drive set up I have had yet. (and I have owned to many cars to list, lol)
