I paid 500 for this one... minus the roof rack and winch/mount.
ZERO rust. It needed a battery in it. That's it.

Alright, so I conquered the registration problem and I have successfully moved her. It was the most terrifying experience of my life. Speed wobble above 30mph and no sway bars made for an extremely scary 35 miles.
Sadly, I was wrong about the D44 and so was the seller. I made sure to tell him that. But...I have one in the rear.
I promised pictures and here they are...

Yessir. You're correct. D30/D44.
Those pictures of the Jeep make it look a lot better. I don't think you got screwed over too bad. The tires seem to be in pretty good shape. They'd be worth the buy.
The wobbles are always fun to diagnose.
Have fun with it.
HEY! I just saw that rack on the top. I have a Yakima rack exactly like that (not including the basket between the cross bars). I wasn't aware that they made a metal rack to go between the two cross bars. I like it. I need to find one like it. Does it have a Yakima tag on it anywhere? I can't seem to find one like it.

Things I've noticed so far are: leakes lots of oil, vibrates like hell unless I'm coasting, death wobble, steering column is trash, engine bay is HOT HOY HOT even though gauge reads in the middle, clunks when accelerating, and brakes barely work.
Despite all that I'm excited about fixing everything.
Once it's safe to drive I'll feel a lot better about the money is spent. Looking forward to the knowlege everyone here has and hopefully I'll learn enough from this project to help other here with theirs.
Oh, this thing has a hindge system on the rear. Did these come stock with a rear tire carrier? There was one on it at one point. Now just the hinges, stop, and latch. Arm is MIA.
