Intro from Long Island
Hello folks. I'm Kevin and I finally bought myself an XJ. Been looking for a while and after looking at 10-15 I found one that spoke to me. Bought off a model/singer. Damn near fell in love. Just something about a pretty girl talking about lift kits and transfer case drops.
So here it is, 1999 sport. 4" lift, 31x10.50 procomps, umm...burgundy..Still learning the whole Jeep world. I've been a pick-up guy mostly. Went from a '79 Bronco to a '90 F-250 2wd to a '78 F250 4wd to an '89 F-250 diesel to an '01 Ram 3500 cummins dually to a 99 XJ. Went big...too big and now it's time to downsize.
Picked it up today and had it detailed. A few issues to iron out, liftgate doesn't open, trackbar is loose at the frame, seat is wiggly, and the brakes need adjusting. Nothing major so far and it is a blast to drive. Already got complimented at the gas station. I think it is the start of a lovely relationship.
