Been lurking here a while- first to decide what Jeep model I wanted, secondly, to get an idea of any mods I'd like to make.
I ended up with a purple '98 XJ Classic 4x4 and couldn't be happier. She's been my daily driver for almost a year now and appears to be pretty solid so I'm ready to start with the mods.
My list of mods includes 3 inch lift, replace bumpers, fender flares, some body armor, repaint, replace front seats, add roof rack, install stereo. I'll do this over a few months but up in the air about where to start; lift first, then exterior and interior mods, or lift last. Guess it doesn't matter, it's all going to get done.
Anyway, thanks for the great website, y'all be safe.

Congratulations. You'll enjoy it.
The very first mod I would do to any Cherokee before lifts, bumpers and stereo components is to install a headlight relay harness. It's the best $21 you can spend on it, since it'll brighten up your headlights, avoid headlight switch failure and potentially prevent your Jeep from catching fire.

Here's a link to a suitable inexpensive harness:

Welcome! Nice to see a Jeep from our state's capital.
I'm in Ocala. If you're up for a little bit of a drive, Jeeptoberfest is happening October 20th,21st, and 22nd at the Market of Marion in Belleview. $50 for the whole weekend if you pre-register.
www.ocalajeepclub.com/jeeptoberfest for more info.
We've got a good variety of wheeling in this area too between the Ocala National Forest, Hardrock MX Park, and a few other secret spots, so come on down some time.
