Hey all, I recently brought home a real special to me 98 XJ, exactly like the one I had to let go a few years ago.
It needs a lot of work but the motor seems strong, and the frame is in great shape so I’m excited! This budget build is dedicated to my departed brother, whose welding and mechanical skills helped me get my first Cherokee road worthy. I’m determined to do everything I can myself, and can’t wait to get this thing on the road and driving. I’ve had a few cars over the years but nothing as fun or as versatile as the Cherokee.
I’m no mechanic but I’m fairly capable and have started some of the work already. Looking forward to discussing what’s in need of repair and how to fix it!
