Bought myself a Birthday XJ!
Hi,
The night before my 30th birthday I decided to pick up my first XJ. I had been throwing around the idea of getting one, and decided to be impulsive and pull the trigger.
`98 4x4 Sport
135k on the clock
3" zone suspension lift
new h2o pump, new rad, hoses, trans cooler, etc
paint is in good condition for the age, few chips here and there
talked the previous owner down to $4k
I already started posting in my regional area, but I thought I'd make a proper intro thread. I've been in a number of online car forums and sites for a long time, so if you see this user name its more than likely me. My other project is a 2004 Dodge SRT-4, that I upgraded to a bigger turbo with supporting mods, so I'm pretty comfortable turning a wrench. My XJ needs a few things here and there but I think its going to be fun.
Side note: Are the fasteners on these SAE or Metric? I've got all Metric tools from my neon, so I might be buying myself birthday tools too

All the $2k-$3k XJs in LV were in much rougher shape. I'm happy with the purchase, especially since the lift and cooling systems are already done.
