Hi all,
I'm from Jacksonville, NC. I was stationed here while serving with the Marine Corps but am originally from Toledo, OH. I'm moving back after my semester at college is up. I just bought a 2000 Cherokee sport for cheap and have been getting the problems ironed out (replaced the alt. yesterday, still needs new brake line and some exhaust welding.) I'm eager to learn. I've never owned or worked on a jeep. My hope is that I can turn it into an escape and evasion vehicle when I'm done. It does have a bit of rust on the components under the body, but nothing major on the body itself. My main concern is to stop and get rid of the rust and to upgrade on a budget. I already have a few cans of rubber coating and a thing of rhino liner. I'm going to run Seafoam through it and flush the radiator tonight. What else should I do as preventative maintenence? Thanks!
