Hello from Upstate New York
Hello Everyone,
I just found this forum yesterday and I must say I'm happy to be here! There seems to be alot of good info here and ALOT of traffic too.
I live in Plattsburgh, which is about 25 miles south of the Canadian border.
The reason I'm here is because I just bought a 2001 XJ Limited and I'm looking to lift it about 3". I LOVE Jeeps. I also own a 2000 XJ that I've had for about 3 years. I originally bought that truck because it was cheap but it's really grown on me. That 1 is getting kind of rough though so it was time to upgrade. The old girl had a million and one small problems but it still runs like a top.......just getting a bit ratty for the ladies.
I will be lurking around alot but I have a feeling I wont need to post here much with questions because most have been answered already. Of course I will help out when I can and show some progress pics of my jeep when things get going.
Oh, the 2000 has not really been wheeled at all but I plan on doing some when the new one gets lifted. I used to have an 87 Blazer with a 4" lift and 33's and loved doing technical trails with it.
Let the money flow and the madness begin(or at least let me join it)!!

Thanks everyone. I just got home with the new jeep a few minutes ago. I LOVE it! Cruise control, heater fan works on all settings and no wind noise! What a change. Unfortunately it pulls to the left a bit but not too bad. I looked at the front end when I got home and noticed new swaybar links? and the coils looked fairly new too. I'm not sure what to think about that. It doesn't matter though because the body is super clean and I don't have a $500/month payment.

I will definitely check out that adk jeep site too.

I wouldn't worry about that sort of stuff, swaybar links rust solid really easily, that's probably why they are new and coils can crack over time so that what probably happened to them, doesnt necisaraly hint at a larger problem.

Thanks scoats, I really like it too.
Iant333. Thanks. I didn't figure it was a big deal but wasn't sure. I'm always a little buggie about things when I get a new rig.
