Default Hello from Parachute Colorado!

Hi! New guy here with my second XJ and my first modified one an 1989 with a 6.5" Rustys lift! Moved back to CO and decided I probably would be better suited with a jeep than a motorcycle so I made a trade. I've had her on a few little trails and am already having a blast. I'll have tons of questions as I make this rig mine starting with some much needed revamping of the suspension. Right now I can here it binding now and then and it kinda floats through corners at anything over 35 mph.

Welcome!

Sounds like someone took the front swaybar off.

Good to know! Looks like I'm on the hunt for a new front swaybar. I'm thinking about dropping it down to 4.5" of lift as this is going to be my inclement weather dd/ Weekend Warrior but don't know how involved that is. Is it just a matter of shorter springs and shocks?

One from the trail!

I'd leave at the current height until you've driven it on the road with a swaybar installed. Just make sure you disconnect it before you go wheeling.
