Hello from the Pacific North West..kinda
Howdy all..new guy. I'm not actually in the PNW at present. I moved to Salem Oregon a year ago from Michigan, and oddly enough I'm back in Michigan to work for a year . I've been trying my best to get out of here for 25 years lol..I keep getting called back somehow..oh well.
So yeah, I've had my share of jeeps..4 cj7's, a cj5, a 1980 Waggie, and 1977 J20. The worst by far was the J20....some f'd up ignition crap if I ever saw it lol... So now I want an XJ, and who wouldn't? They are inexpensive to buy, abundant..and in Oregon, where I'll buy mine..they have no rust. I just need something that can carry my groceries, but get me out on some trails as well. I won't be building anything too hardcore this go round, as I said it's going to be my DD. But Hell for $1500 or so, I'll find a good XJ for a bad trail rig..maybe even an MJ if I'm lucky enough.
Before I leave you, I noticed that I haven't seen a XJ build using a jeep v8....just wondered if there was some problem with parts or something...ZJ's are easy to come by in Oregon too.. nobody builds them much.
So, if I bored you I apologize..uhh in a year or so I'll be back in Oregon, looking for an XJ and someone to wheel with. Thanks guys, keep the rubber side down.
