Hello! This is my new (to me) Jeep!
Hello everyone!
I just got my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee a few months ago and so far it has been a bit of a mess but things are improving! The day after I got it the power steering pump seized and the pulley shattered so I had to tow it to the Auto Hobby Shop (I'm USAF so we have a great place on base to do your own work) and fix that.
Then came the tires. They were pretty bald when I got it but we figured I'd have a little it of time before they were an issue. Nope. They went flat quick. I took it to Mudfest once and came outside the next day to two flat tires. I aired one up but the other was too far gone so I used my spare and began driving to the tire shop when that one shredded.
The back hatch wouldn't open (fixed!) and it had a hole in the dash where the radio used to be. They even disconnected the amp and tossed it into the back. Found the amp, replaced the front speakers (completely dry rotted. Back still needs replacing) and managed to get the radio in. At first it wouldn't play sound if the lights were on and during the day it would make my dash lights come on and flicker horribly. Finally that is fixed.
Then came the "clank clank clank". My passenger side axle was destroyed. Basically it just sat in there rattling around. Inside was completely smooth. Got that replaced and now I'm driving!
I'd like to re-do the interior so it is at it's former glory, rhino line the lower panels and bumpers, and re-paint the rest of it to the green it is supposed to be. Luckily it is already lifted and done correctly. I would love more ideas to make her more awesome! Also her name is Consuela because every time I think something is going to go fairly easy she says "No.... No...".
Anyway... This is her!
