sounds like fun. i live downtown, and i cant do any serious work on my car where i live. I spent most of today getting estimates for 3" lifts, i really hate to pay someone to install it, but I want the lift before winter gets here.

I would love to help. I have too many projects. I have my 90 turbo miata that was and still is my project for 2 years.
The jeep is my low budget project. I wan to do the best job i can with the least amount of cash.

Same boat here. My small quick car gets the budget and the heep gets the leftovers. But I love it anyway.
My wife tells people that our family doesn't believe in stock ride height. The Jeep's 3" too high, and the Civic's 3" too low.

Ouch.
Look on the bright side: It's all underneath, so you don't have to make it look pretty. Trust me, I feel your pain. I just yanked all my carpet to start fixing my floors.
Start cutting and grinding. Get rid of everything that's soft. Weld in new sheetmetal, and POR-15 it. You'll never have to worry about rust there again.
