Hello From Long Island
Hello!
I just got my second Cherokee XJ the other day. This one is a 2000 with 182k. The old one was an '88 that I got in '03 and drove til the electrical system died 5 years later (it was a mess in the dash. I'm surprised it didn't go out in a blaze of glory after what the previous owner did in there). This one is pretty clean with exception to a small dent on the rear driver's side quarter panel, but we can fix that. The underside is really nice, too. It screamed like a Banshee until we tightened the belt (have a gatorback on the way, anyway). Currently, I pulled off the trim and I'm not sure if I want to sell it or try to find replacement back door trim for both sides, but we are planning to paint it over the summer. New tires going on in a couple of weeks because the dealer put on tires that can barely pass inspection. I won't get into the dealer, unless anyone asks and wants fair warning.
All in all, I'm happy to be back in the Jeep family!
