new here.hello all.i've got a 2000 xj completely stock.i am looking to lift it just a little, either 1.5 or 3 inches.is roughcountry a good product? if i go with shocks, front springs and add-a-leaf for the rear, what else do i HAVE to do?are lower control arms and or brake lines etc mandatory?i would love to see some pix of 1.5" to 3" lifts.thanks.

Welcome to the forum! I had a 94 with a Rough Country 3" lift and I liked it. I had many tire sizes on it too. After I got bigger tires I also cut and folded the fenders. Here are some pics for you along the stages.. all pics have 3" lift

I have always heard that Rough Country makes good products. I have a friend with a 98 cherokee that has the rough country 3" with add a leaf and he loves it. I am going to get their 4.5" in a couple of months.Check out this link for alot of good pictures of lift tire setups https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/xj...up-thread-260/

I am very close to the skyline drive. I can walk out on my front porch and see the mouniain. I can be up there within a half hour. Ive been up on the drive many times. There are alot of good views up there on the pulloffs. I have never had my cherokee up there but have cruized with my dad in his Ridgeline several times. I am about an hour from front Royal. BTW that wasnt a stupid question. I know people that have lived in the area their whole life and never been up there.
