Hello Everyone
Hello everyone, my name is Pierce from Canada. Picked up my jeep a while ago but haven't posted an introduction. It's got 300K But doesn't leak (yet). 89 4.0 with a Manual gearbox. When I bought it I did the tune ups and made sure she was road worthy. Sits on a Pro-Comp 3" Lift. So far the only issue is the wiring has seen better days. Tail light wires are a mess. I call it Rudy "Not much to look at but a lot of character" I look forward to expanding my knowledge of the XJ and enjoying the southern Alberta muddy trails. Here's what it looks like covered in some swamp.

Oh you're talking about the gearbox my bad I had a brain fart and thought you meant like a workshop manual. Yes it's a Peugeot Gearbox.

Nope sorry I'm wrong. Using the quadtrec website and getting under the jeep it's actually the AX15 gearbox. Besides the difference in the first gear ratio what makes the AX15 better? If at all

Yeah reading up on it. Seems like if I want to use the jeep for what's it's built for I should be extremely happy I have the AX-15. Thanks for the info on that. Had no idea the difference in transmissions.
