Default Hello from East Central Florida

Hey everyone,

Just bought a '99 XJ Sport a couple weeks ago. My 2nd Jeep (used to have a WJ a few years ago and my dad used to have an early 90's XJ).

Hello from East Central Florida-azgkoyh.jpg

156K, almost no rust, paint ("gunmetal pearl" is in great shape, interior is immaculate, and other than a few little electrical quirks and a bad heater core, it's in awesome shape. Previous owner put a 2" lift and 16" wheels on it.
All that for $2750, so I feel like I got a good deal. I'm sure that I'll be spending more adding stuff to it.

Anyway, here I am.

Welcome to the club. Be sure and find the Gunmetal pearl club on here and add your pics.

Love the GMPs of course, but you've got a good platform to start with. 99's were the best year, and only the 2dr model is a holy'r grail from what I've heard.
Be sure and do a build thread and post your pics N specs.

Thanks!

Right now the "build" is more like "find what quirky things I want to fix or just live with" and seeing what needs attention before I dump a ton of money/effort into doing a whole lot more. So far not a lot wrong. It does need a new heater core at some point. I need to go through and change out all the fluids just because I don't know what the previous owner has or hasn't done.
