For sale is my 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) Sport. The Jeep was purchased in 2003 as a stock Cherokee. Over the years I have modified it and fine-tuned it to be a well-balanced off road 4x4 as well as a well-mannered on road vehicle. I have since started to purchase parts to start a "phase 2" set of modifications, however I find myself with less time and availability to put into this Jeep, therefore I have made the difficult choice to put it up for sale. The current status on this Jeep is that its drivable but some of the upgrade parts listed below will need to be installed to effectively take off road and/or pass MA inspection. Right now there are just fewer than 130k miles on the odometer and the Jeep has been garaged for several months. Mobil 1 synthetic was used in engine/diffs/transfer case since 50k miles. There are no major issues with Jeep. The rocker panels will need to be repaired due to rust. The rear main seal has slight leak and has since Jeep was purchased (less than 1qt per 5k miles lost and most Jeeps with the I6 4.0L engine have this issue). The hood release cable broken but replacement cable is included. This Jeep was never abused or involved in an accident since I've owned it. This would be a great rig for someone with some mechanical experience and a little bit of time to button everything back up. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
