FRESH MEAT!
Hello everyone!
My name is Shawn and I am addicted to the following:
Jesus!
My beautiful Wife!
The Outdoors!
MY NEW (to me) 1993 xj Jeep Cherokee Sport!
I am an Engineman Chief (work on large diesels) in the U.S. Navy and currently stationed on the USS John C. Stennis (an aircraft carrier) in Bremerton Wa. I was born in Spokane Wa. and raised between there and Post Falls Id. I have been stationed in many different places in the last 17 yrs. to include FL., ID., HI., VA., CT., and WA. (multiple times). I have enjoyed all of them but most def. favor the WA. area the most. I am a proud father of 4 boys (ages 13, 12, 9 and 2) and just found out last night my lovely wife is 4 wks pegnant!! We all love to hike and backpack, ride dirtbikes and camp! I have always been a gearhead and owned many different cars/trucks ranging from classic muscle to 4x4s. I have always been a huge fan of jeeps, especially the cherokee and finally have been able to get "THE ONE"!! I LOVE my Cherokee and all the little new things I learn about it daily.... even the DEATH WOBBLE that came with it!! I have been taking the crash course on how a coil spring suspension really works and have learned many things about toe, camber and caster in a very short time. I have even bought the angle finder that I quickly learned should come standard with a lifted unibody!
I DO know how to use a search option, and I have experience not getting my "feeling" hurt on forums when being called on silly questions!
I initially want to thank all of you for the HUGE amount of sound advice found on this forum.
Right now I am currently at sea and all I can do is read, learn and dream about the woods in my jeep! but i will return to the PACNORWEST very soon and plan on wheeling the Olimpics extensivley!
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!
Shawn

Welcome. Glad you found us and again, thanks for your service. You got a good lookin' jeep and that is great about your family. I am a pastor in Oklahoma and have 4 kids, just a little younger. We are campers too and if my boys have their way, we will have some motorcycles some time in the near future.
Be safe out there.
