Howdy all. Recently picked up a '89 XJ to replace my P.O.S. 4Runner that gave me more troubles than the damn thing was worse. Always had my eye on these older XJ's and now I got my very own to mangle. Lurked around for a while, reading write-ups and whatnot, figured I'd jump on here and share my journey to XJ nirvana with folks of a like mind. Right now she's sitting on stock everything, which can be a pain, but just gives me more to mess around with. Main focus right now is getting the engine compartment looking a little more tidy and changing out some of the more finnicky systems, like swapping over to a closed cooling system, ripping the stock air box out and getting rid of a few extra hoses that get in my way. Anywho, this ain't the place for that kinda talk. Just wanted to make my first little how-do-ya-do.

Id rather have a stock everything vehicle than one thats be modified . Starting with a clean cavas will always make building it easier. JM2CW...
