If u got a manual, it's an AX-15
The front is Dana 30
The rear is either a Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25 29 spline.
If your transfer case is 2H-4H-N-4L then it's a 231 transfer case
If it doesn't say that in the order then it's a 242
Oh yes there's a tag In. Front of your differential cover that tell what gearing u have.
If U have a automatic tranny then u got 3.55 gearing and if u got a stick, then it's a 3.07 gearing

do you know of any sites where i can learn about how all of this works?
i also have a honda civic manual that i use as my daily driver, so coming to 4WD is a bit foreign. i mean ive used 4WD before but never fully understood it.
Do u have abs? If u do then u got Dana 35.
If u don't then u have either Dana 35 or c8.25.
Look under the jeep and look at the shape of the cover, if its perfectly oval then it's a Dana 35
If its oval with a flat lip on bottom then it's a Chrysler 8.25

In the "briefly describe" box just tell them you would like a build sheet and they will email it to you in a couple of days. It will have more info than you could ever want about your jeep.
