Default First Jeep

Hey all, I'm Brandon and just bought my 1st jeep. 1989 5spd 188k on body and 70k on the 4.0 with a 3" Rancho lift.

Plans-
Just started working on the body today, it has a good amount of rust being 23 years old. I uncovered some lovely repairs done by a previous owner. The rockers were rotted out so they used spray foam and filled them in, and then used bondo over that. Cut it all out and going to weld up some new metal.

Bought a set of 16" Mickey Thomson wheels and saving for some meats for them.

I'll probably replace the lift kit, it has some age on it. The springs are pretty rusted and the shocks are getting there also. The rear seems to sit a bit lower than the front. Once body work is complete itll go either back to the gloss black or a flat black. But looking forward to getting the truck on the road and meeting some members from here. Thanks.

Rockers are all cut out, I like that idea and will probably do that. Saw someone selling ones pre-made with step bars.

The step bars could rip off. The sq. tubing act kinda like sliders.
