First Cherokee, 3.5 inch lift, 4.6 stroker, N.Georgia, many pics!
Greetings!
Just picked up my first Cherokee, first Jeep of any kind. Has a 4.6 stroker with 25k miles on it (not a fresh build). The body just turned 101k miles. I don't have too many details on the build of the stroker (cam etc) but it's pretty mild.
Has a 3.5 inch lift with 31x10.5's, factory Jeep 15 inch rims. I had to add a catalytic converter and put a Flowmaster on while doing the cat.
Bought from a forum member, but that wasn't the original owner who did all the upgrades.
So far I've changed the transfer case fluid, which was in pretty bad shape (looked like chocolate milk) with synthetic fluid. Also replaced the front and rear axle fluid with synthetic as well. They were dirty and old, but in otherwise decent shape.
The front hub bearings are coming apart and roaring like crazy, and one tie rod end is worn out. I'm having that stuff replaced in a few days.
I can see the oil filter adapter seal is leaking, and looks like a leak on the top of the valve cover in the rear, some kind of breather. I'll post a picture of that top end leak. Is that just a breather?
I'm going to change the oil with some Rotella T6 5w-40, even though the original owner that did the stroker was running Rotella T 15-40. I think that is better for the cold starts. I will probably go back to 15-40 in the summer time. I'm going to replace the oil filter with the Napa Gold 1515 (Wix 51515). There is a Napa Gold on there now, but it's not a 1515.
That's about it!
I'd love any comments, suggestions, corrections to any mistaken info I may have posted above etc. etc. I intend to use it as a daily driver with occasional mild off-roading. And of course, for the end of the world when zombies attack.
Here are the pics!

Thanks! Was painted a week before I got it. New tires too, that helps the looks a lot

Oh, and as an edit to my original post - after loads of research on this forum - I'm going to run the Napa Gold 1459 filter, not the 1515.

Picked up the Napa Gold 1459 filter today, holy crap it's HUGE. Looks like it will fit, was dark when I got home so didn't change it out yet. Also got a few gallons of Rotella T6.
