Default Finally bought a Jeep

Hi all the way from New Zealand,

Stoked to finally own a 93 XJ Cherokee limited. I have been wanting one for a couple of years now and finally I bought one for 600NZD (which is like just over 470USD). This thing started out in Japan and made its way to New Zealand in 95. Its had number of owners and now sadly is a little worse for the wear. The last owner had 20" chrome wheels on it, ugh. So they came off and now onto getting it overhauled and back to the condition she deserves.

Cheers.

Unfortunately not with the chrome wheels on (maybe fortunately). But I will get around to taking some pictures. Especially of the weird alarm install and a small box which I found under the dash hooked up to a temp sensor which is welded to the exhaust? Yeah Im not sure.

Here is a couple of photos of the bojang "repairs". PO said alternator was dead, turns out, was just the fuse.

First time posting pics etc, not sure about the size and stuff just yet but I will get there. Any info on the mystery box would be helpful. Will also start build thread as this is just for introductions. Yeah

Cheers

Nice ride. Seems like you got that for an awesome price. I paid like 3 times that and I have more rust.

Not bad for $470. Hell a set of fender flares is almost $470.

It didn't have a $9000 stereo with big subs to go with the rims did it?

Haha, it had 2 sets of sub wires with a hack job at the back, no subs though . I seem to remember that the power wire was unfused and was sitting live just hanging in the back. And he wondered why the alternator "didnt" work.
